Weybourne Group is the holding company for the Dyson technology company, Dyson Farming, and other diverse business interests. Outside the operating businesses, Weybourne manages an investment portfolio and provides financial and other professional support to the Dyson Family, their estates, and personal business interests. The group covers a wide range of sectors including farming, financial and commercial property investments and residential property. Overview - Role and Department: We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our London based team. You will have responsibility for providing investment research and analytical support to the Chief Investment Officer, head of private markets and head of public market investments. You will work across all asset classes, including public equity, credit, hedge funds, private equity, private credit and private real assets. You will also be involved in broader portfolio management topics including asset allocation, performance analysis and reporting. The role provides a wealth of opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of long-term multi-asset class investing. Responsibilities You will be responsible for a broad range of investment management activities, including: Sourcing, screening and due diligence of external managers and funds across all asset classes; Monitoring of current investments through manager meetings, conferences, fund document reviews, inclusive of the provision of performance analysis and written commentaries; Preparation of monthly performance reports and Investment Committee materials, including performance, attribution and exposure analyses; Maintenance and improvement of various proprietary portfolio management, cash flow, reporting and risk systems; and Research into economic, industry and financial market trends to help inform asset allocation decisions and to fuel investment idea generation. Requirements Qualifications/Experience One to two years experience in an investment related role is preferred, but not essential; a strong grasp and interest in financial concepts is preferred. Experience can include but is not limited to any of the following areas: Asset management; Investment function in single, multi-family office, endowment, foundation; Investment function at direct investment fund or multi-asset investment fund; Investment consultancy; and/or Financial advisory. Where experience is not directly investment related, a candidate must have a demonstrable interest in transitioning to financial markets investing. Strong candidates will be undertaking or have completed further professional studies (e.g. CFA, IMC, CAIA, ACA, FRM). A strong understanding of financial markets. Experience of investing across one or more asset classes and portfolio analysis is useful, but not required. Outstanding academic background with demonstrated analytical capabilities, detail orientated and excellent written English. These capabilities will be tested during the recruitment process. Advanced excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Previous experience with Bloomberg is helpful but not essential as training will be provided.
