Will Smith is an ardent supporter of Obama's proposal to raise income taxes on high earners in the U.S. from 36% to 39%. Smith enthusiastically preached the gospel of paying one's fair share of taxes in a French TV interview.

But when asked about his take on the tax policy of French president-elect François Hollande, Smith was shocked silly by the suggestion of a 75% tax rate on those earning above ?1 million annually.

About 1,780 expatriates gave up their nationality at U.S. embassies last year, up from 235 in 2008, according to Andy Sundberg, secretary of Geneva?s Overseas American Academy, citing figures from the government?s Federal Register.

The U.S. is the only nation in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development that taxes citizens wherever they reside.

Just one more reason to elect Dr. Ron Paul. He wants to get rid of the IRS - along with the Federal Reserve....

Capitol Hill politicians are assessing tax changes that could let the Internal Revenue Service lay claim to a portion of the $18 trillion sitting in 401(k) accounts and other tax breaks used by middle-class workers, including cutting the mortgage tax deduction.
